Moore and Fairhall is a folk-jazz accor­di­on and violin duo, based in Manchester and Crewe.

They bring togeth­er Indian Ragas, Amer­ic­an Folk and jazz from all eras, res­ult­ing in music that is lyr­ic­al, pas­sion­ate and highly rhythmic. 

Olivia will bring her ori­gin­al Indian Fusion com­pos­i­tions plus com­pos­i­tions of her esteemed Hindus­tani violin teach­ers to join the house band at New Forest Arts for this spe­cial occasion.….Claire McAl­lister (vocals), Volodymyr Vasylen­ko (elec­tric accor­di­on) and Martin Pyne (drums/percussion).

Unfurl achieve their own unique melange of styles, in this faith­ful blend of Indian tra­di­tion­al music and Jazz. Con­jur­ing express­ive music­al images inspired by the earth and nature, they take the listen­er on a sub­lime, uplift­ing jour­ney. The band craft folky melod­ies that sit atop a rhythmic bed of the cross-rhythms and syn­co­pa­tions of the Indian sub­con­tin­ent. For our final Beat the Jams of the season, they will be show­cas­ing music from their latest record Sleep­ing Giants.
